The verge of winning his first college baseball game. One run lead. Bottom of ninth. Bases loaded but 2 outs. 2-2 count. He said the next pitch was taken, belt high, right down the middle. Coach comes flying out ready to celebrate. Just when he gets to the third base line he hears “ball three”. He gives the ump the evil eye and returns to the dugout. The next pitch is more perfect. No ump could miss two in a row so he fires out of the dugout just to hear “ball four, take your base”. Walking in the tying run Chuck goes running up to the ump and screams. Mr. Ump. Can you throw me out if this game for what I’m thinking? The ump who knew him said well chuck of course I can’t throw you out for what you’re thinking. Chuck said Well good cause I think you’re the blindest son of a b**** I’ve ever seen call a ballgame in my life!!!
