I don’t disagree with any of that. I’m with you:

I love Devon Hunter. Talked to him multiple times - he’s a great dude. I disagreed with the initial post which said he wasn’t D1. As of this point, he’s definitely D1 based on size and intangibles alone. But also, up to this point, we haven’t seen anything to say he’s Power Five material.

To your point blowing up everything about recruiting, I ALSO AGREE. Not sure why you’re so vehemently against what I said. I said nothing about recruiting. YES: he’s the kind of caliber player our program needs. We should be recruiting kids exactly like him. Here’s the thing, Hunter as a recruit was phenomenal; Hunter as a player is not. Not every player who’s his caliber of recruit is going to be a dud. And I’m not saying he’s 100% locked in as a dud. He has been. But who knows what he will be. Point is, recruits like Hunter don’t typically be non-contributions this far down the line.

Also to the point about stepping up, that doesn’t always equate to being great talent - it often means you’re the most capable of playing. He's got the starting spot, but does that mean he’s actually going to do well? Yet to be seen.
