The Big-12 is rock solid. If there is any change, it will be in adding 1 or 2 teams and from all that is being said right now, that has a minuscule chance because Texas demands Houston be #11. It was closer to happening the last time, but only if Houston was #12 and no one candidate for the other team could reach enough votes. The G5 schools looked at were all listed in the news at the time, but the Big-12, Under Gee steering, has been looking at pulling in a couple of schools from a P5 conference. Arizona and Arizona State were both in very limited discussions.

It was rumored that Nebraska and Arkansas were talked to but I don't put much stock in it, beyond a 19th hole clinking of glasses. Arizona and Arizona State may be in that category as well. There is just so little energy to add or to leave. Everyone in the Big-12 is happy cashing checks. There is some grumbling over the silly football championship set up and the Longhorn Network, but I think that is like complaining about dust on your new car. No one really cares about anything and no one plans to go any where and no one has a chance - a real chance - of being invited in.
