Tech's FG% defense is 3rd in ACC, 44th in NCAA D-1.

NC State is 33.0%, U of L 36.1%, and Tech 36.2%. Tech might be ahead of Louisville after today's defense allowed Miami to shoot 28.8%. That is the 3rd time in the last 4 games that Tech's defense has held a team under 30% FG%. Syracuse shot 37% (was shooting under 30% until the 4th quarter when Tech played not to lose). Yes Miami did miss a lot of shots, but when you hold 3 of your last 4 opponents under 30%, it isn't a fluke.
