You need to check with Comcast how much they will charge for just internet.
For me, about 2/3's of the bill, according to them, is for internet.
The cable portion of the bill is relatively small.
I doubt that is the case, but since I would need internet in any case, they can charge me a fortune. There is a definite monopoly. No one else wants to go to the huge expense of laying new cable to bring us an alternative here in Hanover County.
In much heavier populated western Henrico County, years ago, Verizon ran FIOS cable to compete with Comcast.
