Something like that may happen down the road, but I don't expect...


...anything that drastic to occur over the next decade. If they're looking for the "elite" football schools, guess you can also drop out both Mississippi schools. Not sure why you include Washington. They aren't any better than any run of the mill ACC squad (not named Clemson). Nebraska? Haven't been relevant since the 90s.

Would say ND joining ACC football will happen before that...lol

If I had to pick football "mega schools" who could break away, they would include:
ACC(2): Clemson and F$U
SEC(7): Bama, LSU, UGA, UF, (probably Tennessee, although they suck), aTm, & Auburn
B-12(2): Texas & Oklahoma
B-10(3): OSU, Meeechigan, and PSU.
Pac-12(1 or 2): Oregon & maybe USC

That gives you at most 16 schools.
