There have only been 3 close Semifinals in the 6 years

That's 3 out of 12 games. The rest have been victories by more than 10 points, and most have been blowouts.

2015: Ohio State 42 Alabama 35
2018: Georgia 54 Oklahoma 48 2 OT
2019: Clemson 29 Ohio State 23

Adding Games most likely adds blowouts. It's much better to let the Conference Championship Games be the Quarterfinal round. If we don't get to P4, then pick the top 4 P5 ranked Champions just like this year.
