You are probably old enough to remember the days when the ACC was FSU and the 8 little dwarves. FSU rarely lost to anyone in the ACC during that era and FSU did very well in bowl games. It was expected that FSU did well in bowl games and was not all that big of a news item. FSU stomping the living daylights out of any of the 8 little dwarves was also not news except to say how bad those 8 were and when, if ever, they might not be an embarrassment to the ACC in football.

What is happening to Clemson is no different. Granted, you will find a huge bias when it comes to SEC inter-conference games and how they are presented and to some extent in the Big Ten as well. But the Big-12, PAC and ACC do not get that benefit. But, it is not new, it has always been this way.

By the way, Notre Dame has nothing to do with ACC prowess when it comes to football. Might not want to head down that road because it leads no where.
