Anyone who bothered to watch ACC football the year Trubisky was drafted would be baffled that he was taken before Watson. But every year, QBs rocket up the draft charts after the combine. Teams fall in love with their height and their arm strength. Thus you have mediocre college performers like Trubisky and Daniel Jones going in the top 10, while MVP candidates like Brees, Watson, Wilson, Jackson, etc fall in the draft, usually because they don't fit some GM's prototype for height or don't "look the part".
