Look at the top 15 in VA that we are not getting this year. Top 6 are 4/5*.

We need to focus on those kids 1st. I am sure we did, just can't compete with the Big Boys to land them. The selling point in the past has been to stay in state to play. If their friends or family are at VT we keep some of those kids. Most of the top 15 in VA are not staying, we used to get 4 or 5 of the top 10. Now we seem to spend more time getting the same # stars from other states. If had to chose #1195 or #796. I would recruit the #796. I agree with that. If the recruiting is to go out of state to recruit. I would be going after the top #300 national ranking. I am sure VT is but we are not landing most of those kids either. We did land a big 4* today. Which was great. The class last year was great. That has to stay consistent. Time will tell.

I think it would be easier to stay consistent in VA. A couple of years ago it was NC to VT. Now TX to VT. I think VA to VT would be more consistent and an easier recruiting tool.
In the past it has been successful with the kids in our back yard for the system and to stay competitive. When you are in your back yard they bring the neighbor kids. I am glad the TX kids are bringing their buddies. I just hope they don't get home sick. Maybe FU thinks the other states 3* and 4* are better than VA kids. That is what he needs to be careful with. Relationships in recruiting are very important. I just want us to win.
