Every other sport doesn't require the same amount of attendance
that is required in football.
If the Playoffs expands to 8 teams, then it will be interesting to see how they handle the Quarterfinals. Will the games be played on the same day vs. spreading the games over 2-3 days? It could impact TV ratings and the logistics on how the 4 schools distribute tickets for the Semi-Final game. Now maybe those logistical issues have been resolved through experience (week between Semi-Finals and Championship).
Given all 3 rounds will probably be played during the holidays, I am also curious to see how many people will be able to take time off from work 3 weeks in a row to attend these games. Also, I will be curious to see if hotels and airlines charge people a cancellation fee because their team didn't make it to the next round. Then again, maybe it is a moot point because corporate sponsors have 75% of the tickets to these games.
