I think it's fine for him to be a gunner. Just needs to protect the ball.


If the team needs Nolley to take the most shots in most games, that's fine, and he probably should be taking those shots as he is our best scoring option. Taking a lot of shots isn't a bad thing. What is a bad thing is preventing your team from even getting a shot off. Nolley has got to be self-aware enough to understand that he is not the type of player who can dribble into the paint against double and sometimes triple team D and still get a quality shot off. He also needs to make much better decisions when passing from the wing.

We can win a lot of games with Landers taking 20 shots and finding open teammates when defenses collapse on him. We won't win many when the guy with the ball in his hands the most also has the most turnovers, because this team just doesn't have the margin of error to overcome a ton of lost possessions.
