five years ago when Buzz was really struggling in his first year at VT. In fact, things didn't really start to come together until later in his second season in Blacksburg (who can forget the opening loss to Alabama State in year two).

That said, I would agree that there are other causes for alarm for Aggie fans. He isn't recruiting at the level there that he was here in Blacksburg. For some reason, I actually wonder if he may call in quits in a year or two and just go straight into broadcasting. Beamer used to talk about not wanting to coach into his 70s... but Buzz talked about not wanting to coach into his 50s.... and he's in his mid/late-40s already IIRC.
