My two cents
So, this may or may not answer your question, but generally speaking, the dual rankings and tournament rankings are similar, but not the same. This year there's a pretty stark difference, mostly because we don't have any holes in our lineup, but only two guys have a solid shot at AA.
Why this matters, is placement points. In tournaments, specifically the NCAA tournament, the major points you earn are the placement points. I don't remember all the numbers, but if I remember right (and I could be totally wrong on the numbers), it's 20 points for making the finals, 15 for 3/4, 10 for 5/6 and 5 for 7/8. You also get these points before you make that medal round (you get points for 5/6 when you make the semi-finals, and have opportunities to make more placement points if you make the finals or bronze match).
The points you get for actually winning the matches though, is significantly less, UNLESS you can get bonus points. That's how you really score. In the rankings, they generally don't count on bonus points, and strictly do rankings based on placement points based on your rankings. In our case, it seems like our team has really dedicated itself to scoring more bonus points than in years past, especially with the Moore brothers' penchant for pins. DMF seems to be on point with his goal of scoring as much as possible, this past Sunday non-withstanding. And at the NCAA tournament, a pin can literally move you four or five places north in the overall standings, given how close the teams are (usually 8-13 and 14-25 are REALLY bunched up together).
I don't know how well I answered the question. The CKLV will obviously be different than the NCAA tournament, but it should give us a good idea of how well we will perform on the big stage.
