It's a ref thing, you wouldn't understand


I know a bunch of guys that ref HS football. A few years back I went and chatted up a crew before a game. It was the week after that game where the umpire body slammed a USCe player. I mentioned that jokingly and they all got actually mad that anyone would question a fellow official's integrity....
