the officials were last night, there are worse ones in the offing. They aren't even good at hiding their biases. I refer to a gaggle of game officials during the game as a brain trust.
What you ask for in an official is consistency at both ends, and consistency in both halves. When I really go crazy about (and now my wife does also) is the "wrong" official making the call (i.e., an official on the baseline should not call fouls on guards out front, and vice versa.) The infamous Teddy Valentine does it all the time, particularly in crucial points of the game. Those officials last night made TV Teddy look infallible.
