Just watched last night's game

since it was on at the same time the men played Clemson. St. Francis is picked to finish #2 in the NEC, so Tech could've played a worst team to start the season. It's only the first game but I liked the pace of the team. Taja Cole is a true PG. I was impressed with her speed and vision and the way she pushed the ball up the court. I'm sure that she'll be excited to face her former Louisville team during the season. Aisha Sheppard played well. I know it's only one game but it appears she has accepted her role as an upperclassman. Aisha looked focused all night. Looks like Aisha is also our #3 PG since she played the point in the second half. She looked comfortable doing it. Cayla King looked like a true freshman last night but she seemed focus on not trying to make mistakes. Once she gets comfortable, her scoring should increase. I hope Dara Mabrey increases her PPG this season. She was very encouraging to all the newcomers last evening. That is what a team leader does. Alex Abouh-Fegue is athletic. She can run the floor and she gets in the paint to challenge for rebounds. It's just one game, but she is a nice addition to our front court. Trinity Baptiste is one of my favorite players. She won my heart last year as she improved both offensively and defensively last season. Baptiste is a warrior. She plays much bigger than her size. I expect a great season from her. Liz Kitley impressed me with her patience under the basket. She a true low post player. 27 points in her first game! The future looks bright for her. Lydia Rivers started off slow offensively but once she got warmed up, her offensive game improved. What I saw from her last night was expected. Rivers is another nice addition, especially with her athleticism. This is by far Kenny's most athletic team. Kenny finally has an ACC team. Makayla Ennis showed some hustle. I like the increased pace and I liked the offensive movement (especially in the paint). It was refreshing to not see 4 players standing on the 3-point line. I just hope to see this team improve with each game and I hope and pray we can avoid any major injuries.
