Great analysis and one response...

In terms of the defensive strategy, I think some of that has to do with the overall lack of depth we have. Playing in your face defense is great when you have depth. If you don't, it's real easy to get your guards in foul trouble early on some ticky-tack foul calls and all the sudden we have to play a long stretch with Jalen Cone at point.

While I agree with your assessment, I think the best route is to try to minimize foul calls on defense as much as you possibly can. If that means less pressure then I think you have to live with that this season and do the best you can. You can instill more aggressiveness on defense next off-season when the roster is a bit more built out, experienced, and complete.

This year is going to be a rollercoaster and not one that goes up all that often so I think we should all enjoy that win last night. I think when we look back on this season we'll see that we got Clemson at the right time. They're also a young team that's finding their own way. But, they had a lot of practice time this summer where as we did not. The fact we were able to go on the road and win in Mike Young's first game is a testament to his ability as a coach the resilience of our players.
