But VCU will still have a hard time with practice and training facilities.

I can see the city selling City Stadium to VCU especially since they might be able to use that money for the new baseball stadium if that project ever gets off the ground, but Sports Backers might be the best location for it. Once the Diamond is demolished, there will be plenty of parking, and the roads surrounding the stadium will make getting in and out easy.
