If GMU, Longwood, or VCU decided to sponsor football


then I suspect they would participate as DI-FCS. At least I can't think of any reason GMU or VCU would want to switch subdivisions unless they were interested in leaving the Atlantic 10. I think Longwood is content with being a member of the Big South, so they have less incentive to want to switch football subdivisions.
