Technically he doesn’t have a medical redshirt until after the year when the NCAA effectively retroactively approves the redshirt due to medical reasons. That’s why Anthony Cassar’s future (this year) was in doubt even though he wrestled this past year. I believe the same logic applies to Brent.
However, the NCAA has been much more friendly to the concept of medical redshirts lately, so if they were to go that route (and I have no evidence to say they will), he would apply after the year and would basically sit out and hope he can wrestle in 2020-21.
