I was at one of those Three Rivers 1979 World Series games...


...in October, 1979.

I was back there for the AFC Championship game in December, 1979.

I was 22 years old and thought that would be a regular occurrence in my life. Nope.

Ah, the Seventies.

The Pirates won 2 World Series and something like 6 division titles.

The Steelers won 4 Super Bowls in 6 years.

To top it off for this Notre Dame fan, ND won national titles in 1973 and 1977 and the basketball team made a Final Four in 1978.

My favorite personal sports decade by far.
