Hokies' bats were alive - 10 runs with 14 hits, 3 by Al Velazquez, who appears to be in mid-season form. I believe she was 6 for 8 combined in the two games today. Maddie Banks had a double and a triple in game 2 and Kelsey Brown had a couple of base hits I am telling you, that girl can fly!!!!

Madison Roundtree had a 2 run homer early to the tone.

Kaylee Hewitt started in the circle and went 5 strong innings. She gave up a run in the first on a hit by pitch, an error, and a sacrifice fly, but had a strong outing otherwise - 5 innings, 2 hits and 6 Ks.

Keara Napoli came in a pitched two hitless innings without a strikeout.

The teams played an 8th inning so Skyler Dehart could pitch and she had a hitless inning with 2 Ks although she did walk one batter.

I think that's the main highlights. Sorry if I missed anything. And we got in time to see Miami put away the Wahoos so it was a perfect evening.
