Because when it comes down to it, he wasn't a good fit in the end. By several accounts here and in my personal friendships, I have heard how Seth skipped out on many AD functions, how he treated people poorly and did not get along very well with a lot employees in the AD. That's where his "culture" doesn't fit. He has a much more typical New York culture than a Blacksburg culture. If you don't see a difference in those two distinct geographical areas, I can't help you.
