I can't see how it extends to "boosters"

and I know everyone then jumps to "Joe Donor will just pay Billy Star QB $50k/year for whatever can be loosely viewed as an endorsment!" Ok, let the fool do it. Everyone already thinks stuff like this is happening anyway...give it the opportunity to come out into the light.

And I agree there's opportunity for resentment...the great majority of athletes will be disappointed in what their NIL is really worth (when it's outside of the context of the name on the front of the jersey)
