I had a similar issue, but the Orbi system I got fixed it.

I noticed YouTubeTV and the old WatchESPN would buffer a lot (where Netflix would not), esp. on TV's that weren't very close to my wireless router.

Got a very basic Orbi (1 base, 1 satellite) and that seemed to fix all the buffering issues for me.
