We found a tailback for 1 Saturday afternoon
Consistency is the key (as well as caliber of competition stats are accumulated against).
I thought, far too many times, RW ducked and took the sack Saturday rather than throwing the ball away. I don't expect him to see the 25% of the playing field behind him but a QB needs to be seeing all 75% of the field that his peripheral vision allows. Seeing it and reacting to it. Completion numbers are higher when you are taking sacks instead of throwing the ball away- it is not necessarily a good thing (high completion %).
Some of the boos, I think, are leveled at the coaching and not necessarily the player on the field. A stat on the TV replay showed we have the fewest seniors of any P5 team, alas though, RW is one of them.
VT is not a good team right now. In case you missed it, BC (you know, the team we lost to) got DOUBLED at home by KANSAS (48-24), yes that Kansas that lost at home the week before to Coastal Carolina.
If Furman had defended the jet sweep, I am not sure we win Saturday.
