PBS: Country Music-Ep 1... B-R-I-L-L-I-A-N-T!!!!!!!!!


I'm no country music fan, well, on the whole, but I am a history fan. This was as fantastic as fantastic gets! Ep 01 was honest enough to say it was borrowed(ahem...stole) from Black America...like all American music.
It seems country and bluegrass branched from blues, or "sampled from it" (wink, wink), about the same time. I watched the Bluegrass show too, it was amazing!!!!!!! "Country Music" is an absolutely wonderful way to spend 2 hours.
The BIG legs of the show were the Carter Family and Jimmy Rodgers (Skynyrd...T for Texas).
Get yourself a 6-pack, sit back and enjoy the show.
