The defense is showing very clear signs of improvement from last season...the new DTs are playing well, we look better at corner, and Ashby is really good.

On offense, our skill position players look good to me, Robinson, Smith, Mitchell, and King look really good for such young players.

We had THREE freshman playing yesterday on the OL -- that's always going to be a challenge and is an indicator of both a dearth of talented upperclassmen and perhaps the potential of some young guys. I believe several of them were highly recruited (e.g., Nester). Do we have a dominate OL? No. Is it good? Not yet. Does it have potential? I think so. Better than those lines that stunk with seniors all over the place.

We need a elite QB. That's just my opinion. An elite QB would make this whole thing hum.
