Your post on VT leaving is not the whole story, VT led the way in trying to

get the members of the Big East to sign they would not leave, but said if they all don’t sign the conference is in great trouble and we will do what we have to do to take care of Virginia Tech including leave if we have to (something we did and so did West Virginia later on). Your story doesn’t include that the first three would not sign and VT did exactly what they said they would do.

In fact Tranghese was later quoted after we left, “if everyone would have acted like VT the conference would have stayed together. He went on to add I have no ill will against Virginia Tech whatsoever...none”!
