Seems like we had a bomb threat 1-2x a year when I was in school
back in the dark ages. So we really shouldn't act like threats made at school are somehow a new phenomenon.
Granted, back then, there wasn't a laundry list of actual domestic terrorist attacks at schools to make everyone get in a tizzy when there is a threat. We just evacuated, they brought in the cops, we got the all clear maybe 30-45 minutes later, and went back to school. Not much different from a fire drill.
It wasn't really something that made even the local news, much less regional or national. And I don't think parents were notified.
