Don't go on football weekends. It's not a good way

To see a school. Go during your kid's spring break. They have plenty of tours and you get to see the campuses on a normal day. Most schools have a sample dorm room on the tour. Eat in the dining halls and see if you can visit with someone in the major your kid wants to study.
