For you old farts with college kids, how did you go about taking visits?

I have a junior in high school so I reckon college is inevitably looming whether I want to be or not.

Life is busy, I don't plan to pull her out of school this fall but I figure why not go to a couple football games this fall when our schedule permits as follows:

Towson at JMU on Oct. 26th

and

Pitt @ Virginia Tech on Nov. 23rd

Do they do weekend tours or is the onus just on us to show our kid the campus as a first step on a football weekend, knowing that maybe when time permits some other time, we will be able to do more formal tours or what have you?
