If schools were forced to pay the student-athletes for their involvement


with that kind of stuff, then it will be interesting to see how the schools respond to this change in the law. For VT (and maybe a good percentage of schools), I do think they will continue selling some of the products but without using the photos or likeness of the players. Would people stop buying VT posters or game programs just because they no longer include game photos?

Athletic jerseys could get a little tricky because I am not sure there is much interest in buying a numberless jersey. Although if people want to have a specific jersey number on it, then they could always pay the store extra to add it. That might be the only loophole for the schools to not pay the student-athletes for jerseys with their number on it. The school has no control over which number the person buying the jersey picks or why he/she picked that number.
