I've said this before, I'll say it again, screw ratings,

It is all about the coaching. FSU and their roster of 5 stars are lucky not to be 0-2, and likely would 0-3 after UVA (yeah, there, I said it), save a missed PAT. They had recruiting classes ranked 19, 11, 6, 11, 19 the last 5 years.

Tennessee is 0-2, with their much ballyhooed recruits. The Big Orange has had classes ranked 4, 14, 17, 21, 13 the last 5 years.

Those are some deep, or so should be, solid rosters, top to bottom, yet they are both flaming dumpster fires.

Frank and company did more with less. Some coaches do less with more. The question is simply this - can Justin Fuente coach what he's got, be it a highly rated recruit, or a lowly rated, or unrated recruit, because we have had numerous ones with no stars that turned out to be stars.

To be bluntly honest, 2003 was Frank's mosty talented team, 2 early departure, first round picks, and a bunch of other NFL guys. It went 8-5. Totally blew up. I don't think he could coach the high end guys. He was too nice. Before that, when Mike Vick came along, he was a guy like Frank, second fiddle to Ronald Curry, had a bit of chip on his shoulder. It was a good mix.

If you have the insomniac ability to stay up late, watch a left coast game, or two, when USC is playing. They have a TRUE freshman QB, Kedon Slovis, 3 star, if that. He wanted to go to USC, did get an offer, but his other Power 5's were NC State and some other left coast school, until he got the USC offer. I'm not sure the kid knows what a razor is yet.

He got thrown into the fire. Their starter got hurt in game 1. He was electric in game 2. I'd like to draft that kid for a keeper fantasy league now.
