Was at work, looking at TSL; TSL told me that the Pentagon had been hit

I worked in Rosslyn (Arlington) at the time and so I ran down the hallway in disbelief to the corner office; my colleague was clueless and I looked at the horizon south towards the Pentagon, and at first, nothing, but THEN I saw the first giant plume of black smoke coming up, and thats when the terror set in. Ended up running home (left the car at work; I lived just a mile away at the time), watching the coverage on TV and for my roommates to come home. There was an extra hour or so of terror when me and one roommate remembered that our other roommate's sister worked in the World Trade Center; thank God that we got the call from his mom before he got home that his sister had (miraculously) missed the train that morning and so had been walking to work, saw the attack, then turned around and walked back home. So we were able to reassure our bro when he came in frantic after driving back from McLean (or somewhere near there).
