Take it easy big guy, facts arent allowed in rants. But there is only a
one way correlation for VT. Athletics will lift up VT in significant ways but VT education will do not much for VT athletics. That being said the issues mentioned of the athletic department do not correlate to issues on the academic side or vice versa. A (sad?) reality is it is no different than a large conglomerate corporation (say Ingersoll Rand) who has multiple brands. If Club Car has an issue with bad batteries and Trane has issues with its controls, the answer would not be for Ingersoll Rand to get back to its original purpose of making drilling equipment. The correct answer would be for the Club Car segment/subsidiary to improve its performance and for the Trane segment/subsidiary to improve its performance. VT is no different in that it is a large institution with many many segments/quasi-subsidiaries.
