ACCN: (1) cable/satellite tiers and (2) Comcast/Cox

(1) Any summary out there showing what package tier the ACCN is on for each provider? That makes a huge difference in carriage/profits. I heard a Dish customer didn’t get ACCN when it was added because it was not in her tier. I quickly looked on Dish web site and it looks like you need to get the Sports Pack for all conference networks.

(2) If I were Comcast/Cox I would
have made a decision either way by now and stuck with it. With the streaming services available today (that weren’t there for other network launches) it is easier and cheaper to simply switch. A good portion of people that had to have the ACCN have simply cancelled Cox/Comcast. It would be very costly to lure those folks back with discounted packages. They seem willing to take the hit on those hardcore ACC customers while saving money for the 95% of folks who would never even turn on the channel. Hope an agreement can be reached at some point even if it is not for the asking price.

Haven’t had time to watch much of the channel outside of the VT/BC game but when I have flipped on the studio produced talk shows they did not hold my attention. EJ Manuel and some others are not made for tv. It is a hard job.
