Imagine that you are a single mother in a low income inner-city neighborhood. You have somehow managed to keep your son out of gangs and away from drugs and you now have him ready to go off to college where he will be totally on his own for the first time in his life.

What kind of environment would you want for him? An urban environment with all of the same distractions and temptations that you worked so hard to shield him from for the past 18 years? Or a rural small-town environment where he can concentrate on his education and on basketball?
