Exposure. Exposure. Exposure.....

You are not wrong; however, the population of any given college town just has no bearing on a blue chip’s collegiate decision. He wants to get exposure playing ball, win (which gives more exposure), and move onto riches. He will never again think about how many museums his college town had or if the county fair was bumping that last week of August.

As for the recruiting area and money/resources, there is no doubt that TAMU has the upper hand for sure. They also have a decent fan base, but, they are a football school. Those fans don’t really translate to basketball.....yet.

I still think the ACC is a HUGE selling point, but, MY will have to prove that he has a unique culture (like Buzz did) and can win ball games (like Buzz did). MY should try everything in his power to keep the program’s momentum going, which, it seems like he is clawing to do.

The bottom line is, yes, I think TAMU does have the overall edge on VT when it comes to basketball, but it is CLOSE. Playing against Duke and UNC, and having your rival be the national champions is a bigger sell than TAMU’s “we rich” bargaining chip.....
