Correct, but Vienna_Hokie suggested that the current perception
of Alabama, Ohio State, Oklahoma and even Clemson "dominating" their respective conferences was the same thing as when the ACC was "FSU and the 8 dwarfs." Until those schools go on a 90-6 and make a similar conference championship run as FSU did, then it is difficult to make the claim that 1 program is currently dominating the ACC, Big Ten, Big XII, and SEC today.
The only other time 1 program may have dominated a conference for a similar amount of time in a sport may be when UCLA won all those NCAA Championships in a row for men's basketball. I say "may" because UCLA may not have achieved the same conference win-loss ratio as FSU during its stretch. I guess it is even possible that during the stretch UCLA received an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament because it wasn't crowned conference champion that year.
