Streaming services will come up with their own content
Netflix and Amazon are doing this now, and I think they will get more original programming as time goes on.
Amazon has a package of games from the English Premier League for the next few seasons, plus they stream the Thursday night games. One of Amazon, Netflix, ESPN+, DaZN, or B/R Live will probably pick up the NFL Sunday Ticket streaming rights in the next few years. Along those lines, one of those services will also pick up the NBA streaming package, NHL streaming package, and/or the MLB streaming package. ESPN+ picked up the MLS streaming package a couple of years ago, so it would make sense for the leagues to go ahead and sell it to a service for a guaranteed amount of money per season instead of getting the money selling subscriptions.
