Best since 2012 is not saying much, we have not been good since 2012. As I keep saying, a good line will make average backs look great.

Middle of the pack nationally, we have to expect to be better than that.

My expectations are that we should hold our own against great DLs and whip everyone else. I would argue that our coaches and players would expect that as well. Our expectation is a top 25 team every year, aren't going to be that if we accept OK against OK teams.

My argument...

Too many 3 and outs.
Too many 3rd and longs
Inability to score on short yardage consistently
Too many negative running plays
Inability to sustain drives consistently
Getting pressure and in running lanes with base D, leaving the extra man back in coverage
