So, it’s not like the property is a dump or bad neighborhood, and I believe the family may still have property in the Harrisonburg area (but that may have been sold). I believe Brooks makes $625k, and has 3 kids, so he’s probably being somewhat frugal with his funds. And, the commute and access to VT is relatively short and quick. Some folks would rather have access to town utilities and amenities, and be closer to their primary worksite. Also, a college coach’s job at the VT level can be relatively short term with little notice of termination.
