This is what I gathered from that article.
Traditional cable companies such as Comcast, while losing folks who subscribe to their cable TV service, will be making up a lot of the cable TV loss by really raising the price to provide internet service. Comcast is going to make theirs, either way.
But on top of the increased internet cost, the various companies who own tons of inventory will, in time, start to squeeze consumers for more and more money. In time, once the cord cutters hits a critical mass, companies who control content - cough, Disney, cough - will charge a hell of a lot more for content to be streamed than they do currently.
In time, the bottom line is a person's total internet and content bill will closely resemble, maybe top, what they were paying for bundled internet and cable.
In due course, cord cutters will find there are no free lunches out there.
