Hoo here again. Need advice on a log splitter
I burn 3-4 cords of wood per year. A mix of cedar (easy to split with a maul, and quite therapeutic), locust, wild cherry, oak, etc. The wild cherry is the hardest to split with the maul and wedges as the trunks tend to twist as they grow. And I have lots of it from the recent storms.
Don’t want to rent. When the urge to split hits, I want to pull the splitter out and use it.
Most logs are 18-24 inches in diameter.
Would love electric start since it will be a use 4-5 days per year piece, but not an absolute requirement if it will pull start as reliably as my Stihl equipment. I hate sh$t equipment that won’t reliably start with a pull cord.
Thanks in advance. I’d ask my Hoo brethren, but would only get the names of firewood delivery folks, the best cheese knives for cutting summer sausage logs, and puzzled looks.
Oh, and I think your bb Coach was a solid hire and the kid he just got is proof.
