Softball gets a nice transfer from JMU
From HokieSports:
James Madison outfielder Kelsey Brown will transfer to Virginia Tech and join the Hokies' softball program this upcoming fall as a true sophomore.
Brown comes to Tech after a solid rookie campaign in Harrisonburg, playing in 44 games and earning 13 starts. She led the Dukes in stolen bases with 10 while scoring 23 runs on the season
"I knew of Kelsey during her early high school days," Tech coach Pete D'Amour said. "She was known as not only one of the fastest kids on the east coast but one of the fastest kids in the country.
She has a grit to her and enjoys competition. I'm looking forward to her joining our program."
Kelsey still hold the Virginia High School League record with 133 career stolen bases. Zoom!
She’s also a dean’s list student!!!
Welcome to HokieNation, Kelsey.
