Coaches collusion...
Hopefully the accusations you make regarding baseball have more foundation in knowledge than your take on the transfer portal. The portal "loaded with football players with no takers" is far more about kids having an inaccurate perception of their abilities and options than coaches colluding. Kids having no place or a lesser place to land are in most cases a realistic assessment of the rewards and risks each player presents to teams looking at them.
As far as CJS "forcing so many scholarship players out", if that is really what is happening, that is not a sustainable approach or recipe for building a program long term. However, there is some lattitude early on when trying to jump start a program that has been dead in the water. Not every kid that leaves a program is forced out. Some have a desire for more playing time, some recognize the commitments required are more than they are willing to give, some recognize their talent level fits better elsewhere, etc.. Coaching changes and transitions come with varying levels of attrition and turnover, just a fact of life.
