For the Olympics, there are only 6 freestyle weight classes


And 70 kg (Green's weight class) isn't one of them. So Green will either bulk up to 74 kg or cut to 65 kg.

79 kg also isn't an Olympic weight class, so there's a fair chance that Dake or Dieringer cuts to 74 kg for the Olympic cycle rather than bulking up to 86 kg. Mark Hall and Zahid Valencia are likely to be in the mix at 74 kg as well.

In view of Frayer's comment and the likely lineup at 74 kg, I think it's more than a little silly for anyone to assume that an Olympic redshirt is a foregone conclusion.
