Seems to me, the Redskins under Gibbs, first edition, was anything
but "Air Coryell".
Those Gibb's offenses with the likes of John "The Diesel" Riggins, and the "Hogs" were old school offense. Bludgeon people the entire game, and then throw vertically for long gains.
I picture "Air Coryell" as being flooding the defense with receivers, and letting a pass happy QB throw the ball all over the place.
Am I that wrong? [Post edited by Atlee Hokie at 07/16/2019 10:07AM]
